Stourbridge Running Club had just one racer out this weekend with Tim Lloyd-Langston running the Groundhog Marathon at Telford Athletics Club. Postponed due to snow the week before, runners completed 105 laps of the Athletic track to complete the 26.2 mile distance. Tim finished in 26th place in a time of 4.51.39. Ironically, this was Tim's fourth time of running the event.

Grace Allen from Stourbridge Running Club took part in the National Cross Country Championships at Parliament Hill in London. Grace took on the 8k course and finished in 38.56.


At the Peopleton Duathlon, entrants took on a 7k run, 29k bike ride and finished with a 3k run. Matt Cooper finished in 1.19.59, followed by James Bellamy in 1.36.05 and Alastair Mcintosh in 1.47.11.

Cross Country Season continued this weekend for Stourbridge Running Club. The men's 10k race took part at Droitwich High School where Shaun Osborne was first back for Stourbridge in 42.55. Rob Colman completed the course in 43.26 followed by Adam Crompton in 44.57, James Bellamy in 46.27, Rob Woodward in 46.28 and Paul Bradley in 56.56.

In the Ladies 8k race at Cofton Park, team Captain Grace Allen was first back for Stourbridge in 29.34, followed by Phoebe Packham in 30.17. Ann Kite ran her first cross country in 33.49 and Natalie Dellar finished in 39.47.

Richard Lowther took part in the Sneyd Christmas Pudding Run. This event was re-arranged due to snow in early December and Richard finished 14th in 1.05.46.

Stourbridge Running Club took part in the Midlands League Cross Country on Saturday. The Ladies took on an 8k course at Aldersley Stadium with Chloe Pearson first back in 25.28. Phoebe Packham in 26.49, Grace Allen in 27.44 & Andrea Evans in 33.56 completed the team.

The men took on a 10k course at Aldridge Airport with Rob Colman back home first for Stourbridge in 42.58. Adam Crompton finished in 44.17, Rob Woodward in 45.55, James Bellamy in 47.17, Alastair Mcintosh in 50.57 and Tim Lloydlangston in 55.34.


At the Leicester Half Marathon Chris Ashcroft took on a windy course and achieved a PB in 1.36.29 and  Jon Taylor finished in 1.54.10.

Stourbridge Running Club had good performances at the Worcestershire and Warwickshire Cross Country Championships held at Warley Woods. The ladies did particularly well, gaining 3rd place team and Chloe Person's performance gaining her an invite to the inter cross country championships in March. Times for the 8k course were: Chloe Pearson 25.07, Grace Allen 26.20, Phoebe Peckham 26.37, Lara Pentreath 26.57 and Natalie Dellar 35.37.

In the men's 10k course, Rob Taylor was first home for Stourbridge in 39.42, followed by Rob Colman 40.04, Richard Lowther 40.34, James Bellamy and Adam Crompton 42.23, Rob Woodward 42.49, Chris Ashcroft 44.44, Keith Spokes 49.44, Paul Bradley 52.55 and Jon Taylor 53.47.

At the Telford 10k Trevor Osborne finished in 37.25, Pete Walters 37.57 and Ray Selwood 51.13.
