Beer Mile SRC Chunder Run
The SRC beer mile Chunder Run started in 2014 with Competitors are able to use the historic athletic running track buried under the football and cricket pitches. The aim is to raise as much as possible for charity or other demands which we previously helped towards the replacement cricket scoreboard fund. Normally this is a time trial 4 lap event....the world record stands at 4 min 57 seconds.
General rules: Must be a minimum of 18 years old. 4 x 400 metre laps, each proceeded with a glass of beer. 10 yard box in which to drink before each lap. Beer glass must be raised and upturned overhead before running to demonstrate beer has been drunk. One penalty lap will be added for any chunder offences.
